Lookin’ out my back door

All about me Add comments

You may remember that some time ago I wrote about the new patio we built behind the northwest wing of the compound. Well, we screwed it up. We didn’t lay enough foundation and the patio developed waves, and it was only going to get worse. So we contacted some professionals who drew up a plan. We removed the 2500+ bricks that made up the patio last Sunday (which took 8 straight hours of intense labor), and the excavators appeared today. Here are the pictures of the work completed as of this evening.

I’m trying to decide if I’m insane or stupid for undertaking these projects and spending the cash involved. On the other hand, I’d really like to have a nice patio. :)

That feeling in the pit of my stomach is second thoughts. Too late now!

Dude, your house look _excatly_ like what we here in denmark call “parcelhus”. 90% of onefamiliy homes look just like that: single plane, red brick.
