My friends at Your Mac Life have a new URL: http://www.yourmaclifeshow.com. Shawn and I spent a large part of the day setting up the new site with the new CMS, so be advised that there may be a rough edge or two, and we’ll smooth those out as we go along.
Additionally, my previous post about the upcoming lunar eclipse piqued Shawn’s interest, so I’ll be a guest Wednesday at approximately 9:20 PM EST to talk about the eclipse, astrophotography, some general astrophotography concepts, and how you can use your Mac for amateur astronomy.

It is good to have YML back. New site looks great. If you have never listened to the show before you missing a great nights entertainment.

There’s no *need* for YML to have a new URL… nothing prevents Shawn from transferring the domain name to another host. The ICANN rules are pretty explicit about that, and no matter how vast the sum of money owed, we can’t prevent a transfer. The domain name can not be used as collateral against a debt.

And here I thought he just didn’t pay the bill. Shouldn’t there be a forwarding address? or re-direct? How are people who don’t read your blog find out?
I’m glad everything is OK and will look forward to the show tonite!

Hey now… I’m just the technical guy. I have no responsibility or influence when it comes to paying the bills for the show. Shawn told me he had a new domain and asked me to set up a new site for him, and I did. If there’s something more he needs to know about reclaiming his old domain, you should contact him directly with that information.

Sue,
I believe Shawn intends to issue a press release with the new address to a number of popular Mac sites today, so a good deal of the audience will find the new site. And, as I just learned from Chuck, Shawn may have the old domain back by this evening in any case.

I figured they went out of business or something - I didn’t see any warning that the site was moving. I’m glad to see they’re still alive and kicking.
