A while ago, I wanted to post something about rich blow-hards, who feel guilty about their extreme affluence, pushing idiotic things like Product(RED) on those of us whose means are comparatively miniscule. When Bono gives up his assets (to the unfortunates he wants to help) and lives on the Dayton, Ohio equivalent of $60k a year (which is pretty comfortable for one person here), I’ll take what he has to say more seriously. I had a whole thing worked up, and then I thought better of it. I benefit more from not posting those thoughts and not receiving the subsequent flak than I do from sharing my brilliant, deep insights with the world. I only have one life to live, and comfort and peace of mind are priceless, and many times self-imposed silence is the best way to accomplish those goals.
But… it appears that someone else has written up something very similar to what I thought (but didn’t write)! Bless this person, because they probably did a better job than I would have anyway. Check out the link.
